Four Firefighters Hurt in Laurel Apartment Blaze

One Prince George's County firefighter has been admitted to the hospital with serious burns to his hands, ears and arms.

Four firefighters were injured battling a two-alarm blaze Thursday morning at a Laurel apartment building, officials said.

Prince George’s County Fire Department spokesman Mark Brady said via Twitter that the fire was in a garden-style apartment building in the 11700 block of South Laurel Drives. Flames were seen coming through the roof when firefighters arrived on the scene.

Eight apartments were damaged by the fire, which displaced 15 adults, seven children and one done, Brady said.
