Fundraiser To Help 6 Siblings Left Behind After Parents Arrested By ICE
Six Prince George's siblings are being cared for by family friends after their dad was deported and their mother has been detained.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A GoFundMe has been created for the six Sanchez siblings whose parents were arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers.
According to the Prince George's County Immigrant Rights Collective, their father was arrested by ICE, detained and deported to Venezuela. Their mom was arrested in front of the family's home after that while returning from work. She remains at a detention center.
The Sanchez siblings range in age from two to 14 years old. They've been without their parents for four months, Prince George's County Immigrant Rights Collective wrote on the GoFundMe page. Three family friends who have children of their own have taken in the six Sanchez siblings, but the kids still have financial needs that are going unmet with both parents unavailable.

As of March 17, the GoFundMe has generated $8,299 toward a $9,000 goal.
"Although the Sanchez kids can speak with their mom and dad over video call, they miss their hugs and presence terribly. All kids should get the opportunity to feel the love of their parents on a daily basis," the GoFundMe stated.
