Jaguar Driver Sought In Fatal Laurel Pedestrian Hit-And-Run: Police
The father of two teenage daughters died in a hit-and-run accident in Laurel. Police are asking the public to find the Jaguar involved.
LAUREL, MD — Police are asking for the public's help in locating the driver of a dark gray Jaguar that investigators believe fatally struck a pedestrian in Laurel Sunday and fled.
Duane Lyons of Laurel, 38, of Laurel died after he was hit by an SUV about 9:20 p.m. in the 13000 block of Laurel Bowie Road in the unincorporated section of Laurel, according to Prince George's County Police. Officers found Lyons in the road suffering from trauma; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Lyons was the father of two teenage daughters, and lived near the accident site.

“My son died on the side of a road, and you didn’t even have the compassion to reach out and hold his hand and say I’m sorry,” Lyons' mother, Lisa Felton, told NBC Washington. “He was a natural-born comedian. He loved his family. He loved life.”
Investigators said Lyons was struck in the northbound lanes of Laurel Bowie Road. The striking vehicle — likely a dark gray Jaguar — has heavy front-end damage.
