PG County Librarian Resigns After Racial Slur: Report
The woman reportedly was caught on video admitting to yelling a racial slur at an African-American man.

FORT WASHINGTON, MD -- A Prince George's County librarian has resigned from her position at a local elementary school after she was caught on camera admitting to yelling a racial slur at an African-American man, according to a report.
NBC Washington reports that Monica Goldson, the interim CEO of Potomac Landing Elementary School in Fort Washington, has confirmed that the woman -- who was not identified -- has resigned and said that she is working with labor unions to provide bias training for all employees.
The video was posted Nov. 12 on Facebook. It shows part of the confrontation, which began when the woman objected to the way the video-taker's husband pulled out of a parking spot.

Goldson told NBC 4 that the school is 90 percent students of color. The school reportedly said it couldn't fire the woman because she was a union employee, and she will get full retirement benefits. She had been reassigned before she ultimately retired.
The incident happened in a Walmart parking lot in Charles County.
