PG County Parents Faked DC Residency For Top Schools: Lawsuit
The D.C. attorney general's office reportedly is seeking hundreds of thousands of dollars from six PG County parents.

WASHINGTON, DC -- Six Prince George's County parents are facing hundreds of thousands of dollars in damages after the D.C. attorney general's office sued them, claiming that they faked D.C. residency so they could get their children into top District schools like Duke Ellington, according to a report.
WTOP reports Attorney General Karl Racine has filed four lawsuits seeking $700,000 in unpaid tuition, as well as possibly hundreds of thousands more in penalties. The suit claims that one parent faked residency not only to get her child into the Duke Ellington School of the Arts, but also enrolled herself and her children in the D.C. food stamp program.
The parents are accused of using fake addresses on forms, and lying in documents asserting D.C. residency.
