Prince George's Community College Will Help Out ITT Tech Students

ITT Tech closed down nationwide, and PGCC is offering an open house for students who want to continue their education.

LARGO, MD — ITT Tech is closing its doors after seeing its funding from the government dry up, and that means many students will be left out in the cold. However, Prince George's Community College says they're ready to step in to lend a hand.

PGCC is hosting an open house for ITT Tech students on Thursday, Sept. 15 at Bladen Hall Room 125 from 8:30 a.m. until 8 p.m. at 301 Large Road in Largo, so head on down there if you're an ITT Tech student hoping to continue your education, according to a PGCC statement.

“We want these students to know that we are here for them and are available to help them in achieving their higher education pursuits,” Charlene M. Dukes, president of Prince George’s Community College, said in the statement. “Ensuring success for all is paramount to our mission and one of the ways we do that is by providing a refuge to these students during this time.”

Since those students make up a huge amount of their enrollment, the company opted to shut down operations immediately.
