The National Weather Service has issued a coastal flood warning until Saturday morning for low-lying areas in Prince George's County; areas along the shoreline could see 2-3 feet of water above ground level.
The National Weather service says this weekend could be "one of the biggest tidal flood events of the past 10-20 years" in the Washington metropolitan area.

The NWS also issued a flood watch from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Friday for the entire county.

Friday: Showers before 2pm, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm between 2pm and 5pm, then showers after 5pm. High near 63. Breezy, with an east wind 14 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 33 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.
Friday night: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 54. East wind 7 to 16 mph becoming south after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
Saturday: A chance of showers, mainly before 8am. Partly sunny, with a high near 65. South wind 6 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Saturday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 51. South wind 3 to 5 mph.
Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 64.
Sunday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 48.
