Good Neighbor Day
Saturday, March 28, 2015
9:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and local residents are invited to join the community for Good Neighbor Day – a day of service and partnership between the University, the City of College Park, and the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC). We focus on clean-up efforts that contribute to a great quality of life for all College Park residents and celebrate being a good neighbor, every day of the year.

Food Drive
As part of Good Neighbor Day, we encourage the campus community and community stakeholders to collect non-perishable goods to be delivered to the College Park Food Bank and UMD Campus Pantry. Donations may be dropped off at on- and off-campus locations.
Lose It to Win It/5k Fun Run/Walk
This year, we’ll also be coordinating an informal Lose It to Win It 5k run/walk, with a route along Lake Artemesia. This fun 5k is in support of a student-run initiative from the UMD School of Public Health — Lose It to Win It. These students are leading a weight-loss challenge and providing health and wellness resources to Prince George’s County residents.
