Suspect Arrested In Armed Robberies At Apartments: Prince George's Police

A suspect who entered an apartment while the occupants were asleep has been arrested, police say. He's wanted for 3 armed robberies, too.

LANHAM, MD — The suspect wanted in connection to a residential robbery at an apartment in Lanham has been arrested, police say.

Augustine Koroma, 22, of Lanham has been charged in connection to a residential robbery at a home in the 9900 block of Good Luck Road that happened April 8. In that case, the suspect broke into the victims’ apartment at approximately 5 a.m. He told the residents he had a gun and demanded they give him their property. They complied and then Koroma took off, according to Prince George's Police.

Detectives identified Koroma and arrested him Monday night on an unrelated warrant for second-degree assault. After obtaining a search warrant and combing through his home, they found evidence that police said linked him to the April 8 residential robbery.

Investigators believe two other residential robberies and a breaking and entering at three apartment complexes on Good Luck Road between April 4-8 are connected to Koroma. Police initially asked for the community's help in identifying the suspect wanted for breaking into four apartments in complexes located along Good Luck Road in the Lanham area. A cash reward of up to $2,500 was offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case, police said.

The Prince George’s County Police Department had added additional patrols along Good Luck Road in the meantime, as a precaution.
