Suspected Gunman Possibly Linked to Maryland Live! Incident: Police
Casino officials brought new information to light, Anne Arundel police said.
The day after police announced they arrested a Prince George’s County man in connection with five shots fired incidents, including at the NSA, authorities say there may be a sixth incident.
Management at the Maryland Live! casino in Hanover found suspected bullet holes in two sides of the building’s facade, a report the Anne Arundel County Police Department said it received late Wednesday afternoon.
The information came after police held a press conference Wednesday to announce the arrest of a 35-year-old Beltsville man in connection with a series of shots fired calls in Anne Arundel, Howard and Prince George’s counties.

Hong Young, 35, of Beltsville, was taken into custody Tuesday night outside Arundel Mills mall during a traffic stop in which officers saw a bullet casing and handgun in his Lincoln Town Car, which matched the description of the suspect vehicle involved in a Feb. 24 shots fired call off Arundel Mills Boulevard, according to police.
He told police that he had been at the Maryland Live! casino before the traffic stop, charging documents show.

Through ballistics testing and interviews since Young’s arrest, officials say they have have linked him to five shots fired calls: on the Intercounty Connector, near the Arundel Mills PetSmart, by the NSA, outside the AMC Columbia theater and outside the Laurel Walmart.
Police said that they did not receive any calls about shots fired from the casino, and nobody was injured.
“We have not confirmed that this incident is related to the suspect Young, but the method of operation appears to be similar,” Anne Arundel police said in a statement Thursday.
While a motive for the shootings was unclear, “...buildings were fired upon,” Anne Arundel police spokesman T.J. Smith said at Wednesday’s press conference. ”That gives you a little peek into the mindset of this individual.”
According to charging documents, Young admitted to his involvement in all five shootings and said he “was hearing voices, which made him shoot...” at a driver on Feb. 24 near the PetSmart by Arundel Mills.
Following his arrest, Young was taken to a hospital for an evaluation and was being held Thursday at the Jennifer Road detention center in Annapolis police said.
