SUV Plows Into House; Two Injured: Police

The vehicle's driver and a passenger were taken to the hospital after the crash.

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, MD — A vehicle crashed into a house in the 5200 block of Addison Road in Capitol Heights, injuring two people.

Prince George’s County Police say an SUV was likely traveling at high rate of speed on Addison Road toward Sherriff Road when the driver lost control. The SUV hit a tree, then struck the house; the vehicle then caught fire.

Five people were in the SUV. Two males -- the driver and a passenger – were taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

None of the occupants in the home were injured, police said.

The accident was reported about 5 a.m.
