Near Ritz Way, the car traveled off the right shoulder, the write-up explained. It hit a telephone pole and a billboard support post before coming to a stop, police advised. Officers informed that the collision temporarily closed the southbound side of the highway.

Troopers are still investigating the cause of the crash. Investigators do not believe alcohol was involved.
