Catonsville Man Claims $39K On Maryland Scratch Ticket
The 66-year-old bakery labor representative won the exact same prize a second time.

CATONSVILLE, MD — A Catonsville man who refers to himself as "double feature" recently won the same prize for a second time. According to the Maryland Lottery, the unidentified Maryland man won his second $39,729 Racetrax Superfecta prize recently after winning it in the spring of 2020. Both wins happened with a $1 Superfecta wager on more than 20 races.
The 66-year-old bakery labor representative bet that the 7, 5, 8 and 9 horses in the virtual horseracing game would finish in that exact order. He placed his wager at Royal Farms #302 in Catonsville. The odds that the four horses would accomplish the feat was slightly more than 59,654 to 1.
The man discovered his brush with Lottery luck later on when he remembered to check the results that night with the Lottery’s mobile app. He couldn't believe his luck.
