Charlestown Celebrates Women's History Month

CATONSVILLE, MD (March 28, 2016) -- Charlestown retirement community resident/moderator Phyl Lansing (seen at podium in photo) introduces Board of Directors Joanne Pollak, Esq. (left) and Laura Ostroff during this afternoon’s “Women at Work Today” celebration of Women’s History Month.

Pollak, Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Chief of Staff for Johns Hopkins Medicine, and Ostroff, Vice President of Benefits and HRIS for Bon Secours Health System, talked about their respective professional paths with scores of residents and staff in the auditorium.

They discussed education, work experiences, hurdles, role models and mentors, work/life balance, and changes in the workplace. A Q&A session followed.
