MileOne American Cancer Society Car Raffle Winner Presentation

Heritage Mazda Catonsville Presents $20,000 Check to Winner Who Bought Ticket Through Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

The staff of Heritage Mazda Catonsville and MileOne Autogroup 2020 car raffle winner Miriam Summers were all smiles, behind their masks of course, during a check presentation of $20,000 to Miriam on January 29, 2020. This was the 21st year that MileOne Autogroup has raffled off a new car to benefit the American Cancer Society’s mission to fight cancer. The winner can choose either the car or the cash prize from MileOne Autogroup. Miriam opted for the cash instead of the beautiful 2020 Mazda CX-30.

Despite the pandemic, the 2020 MileOne Autogroup car raffle achieved 4,760 ticket sales raising $47,130 to help fund free transportation to treatment once the American Cancer Society's Road to Recovery program can resume providing rides to cancer patients. Miriam purchased her winning ticket through Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Baltimore. Tickets cost $10 each.

Michael McGuire, GM of Heritage Mazda Catonsville, and Daniel Matysek, division sales director of MileOne Autogroup, presented her with the check at Heritage Mazda Catonsville. Also present were Tswana Sewell, executive director of the American Cancer Society, and Kamonte McCray, board chair of the American Cancer Society Greater DC/Baltimore Area, and
SVP/GM, Content Management & Workflow Software Group. Stay tuned to the American Cancer Society for details about the upcoming 2021 MileOne Autogroup car raffle!
