Columbia Playground Fire Under Investigation

Firefighters responded to Huntington Park in Columbia Tuesday evening for a playground fire, the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services reported.

At 5:45 p.m., the department said that a fire investigator was on the way to the scene. Huntington Park is located at 9695 Clocktower Lane in Columbia, and it was also the site of a fire in 2011.

The incident was one of “several playground fires recently,” according to the department.
