Fire Snuffed Out In Scaggsville: Howard County Fire And Rescue

Fire broke out Monday night in Scaggsville, Howard County fire officials said.

SCAGGSVILLE, MD — Firefighters were dispatched to a computer fire in Scaggsville Monday night, according to officials. When they arrived, crews said they found a working fire.

The fire was on the second floor of a building in the 8200 block of Lapping Brook Court, according to officials.

Within minutes, the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services reported crews had snuffed it out; the fire was extinguished shortly after 10:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23.

Firefighters were still at the scene conducting overhaul operations, ensuring there were no lingering hot spots, officials said.

This was the second fire reported in Howard County in the past hour. There was another near West Friendship, according to the fire department.
