Howard County Declares State of Emergency
'This is a significant storm of historic proportions.' —Howard County Executive Allan Kittleman

Howard County Executive Allan H. Kittleman signed an Executive Order declaring a State of Emergency for Howard County Friday evening.
“This is a significant storm of historic proportions,” Kittleman said on Friday. “We have been asking all day, and I can’t stress it enough, please stay off the roads tonight, tomorrow and Sunday.”
Howard County is under a blizzard warning from 3 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Sunday. The National Weather Service is predicting approximately 2 feet of snow for Howard County this weekend, with limited to zero visibility on roads.

Kittleman signed the Executive Order in Howard County’s Emergency Operations Center, which was activated at 7 a.m. on Friday.
