Missing Man Found Injured In Columbia: Police
Police said the man reported missing earlier this week in Howard County was flown to shock trauma after a search party discovered him.

COLUMBIA, MD — An Ellicott City man who had been missing for days was found Saturday in Columbia, officials said. A volunteer search party that included a member with a drone spotted him in a densely wooded area off MD 108, police said.
Jason Blake Mabee, 44, was injured when he was found, possibly from an accidental fall, according to authorities. Police said he was flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center Saturday afternoon with life-threatening injuries.
Mabee's family reported him missing Tuesday, July 23, and members were concerned due to recent health issues. He had last been seen on College Avenue around 3 a.m. Monday, July 22, and relatives were worried when he did not return home to Ellicott City's Chatham area, police said.

Later in the week, police said Mabee was possibly seen around Red Branch Road at Route 108 the night of Tuesday, July 23. Despite extensive checks there as well as at hospitals, shelters, parks and other areas he frequented, officers did not find him.
Mabee was in the 9200 block of Route 108 when last seen Tuesday, and a group located him less than 0.5 mile away from there.

The volunteer search party, which included people with private drones, found Mabee in a densely wooded area near the intersection of Route 108 and Presbyterian Circle after 12:30 p.m. Saturday, July 27, according to police.
Officers who were in the area assisting the search party immediately made their way to Mabee, who was conscious, but injured, officials said. He was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition, according to authorities.
