Symphony of Lights Welcomes Drive-Throughs On Christmas Day
Columbia's annual festive tradition continues in 2018 in Merriweather Park.

COLUMBIA, MD — Symphony of Lights is in full swing in Columbia for the 2018 holiday season. People can drive through the light display from Wednesday through Sunday until Dec. 30.
The larger-than-life light display is open on Christmas Day, which is Tuesday, Dec. 25.
Hours are 6-10 p.m. from Nov. 22-Dec. 30.

Symphony of Lights is also open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Those with a valid military ID can drive through for $10 for Military Appreciation Discount Nights, on Thursdays. To get the military discount, people have to buy tickets in person.
There was one day when people could walk through the 1-mile display; the Festive Families Walk was from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 2. Children of all ages as well as strollers and wagons were welcome. The Festive Families Walk was sponsored by Calvert Hall College High School and co-hosted with Merriweather Park at Symphony Woods.
