Both cities ranked in the bottom ten of American metros in driver safety by the insurance giant.

As if you needed someone else telling you driving in Maryland is a nightmare of traffic jams and accidents, insurance company Allstate has put both Baltimore and Washington, D.C., near the bottom of its list of the safest cities to drive in for 2014.
Using city population, city density, car collision frequency during rainy and snowy conditions, and car collision frequency during normal conditions, Baltimore placed 195th out of 200 cities evaluated by the city. Washington, D.C., fared even worse, ranking at 198th on the list.
