Dundalk Man Put Girlfriend's Body in Tarp by Roadside: Police

Baltimore County police said witnesses helped authorities find the body of Dorothy Grubb.

A week after a Dundalk woman was reported missing, police reported her boyfriend was charged in her murder and gave additional details about what happened the night of July 24.

Dorothy Grubb, 60, and Clyde Campbell, 53, were arguing on the second story of their home in the 1700 block of Manor Road in North Point when witnesses heard a loud noise, and the verbal argument ceased, police said.

Campbell was seen dragging his girlfriend’s body downstairs and into the backyard, where he put her in a tarp in the bed of his Ford F-150 pickup truck, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

Authorities found the tarp containing Grubb’s body on Peninsula Expressway Tuesday night based on information from witnesses, police reported. The body was in “poor condition,” police said, because it had begun to decompose.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined the death was a homicide caused by “multiple force injuries,” according to police.

There were no shots fired in the incident, officials said.

Campbell was arrested Monday on Merritt Boulevard for a weapons violation, according to police, who reported he remained in custody until Thursday, when he was charged with first-degree murder.

He is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
