Middle River Man Charged in Two Armed Robberies
Police said the robberies happened Sunday morning.

A Middle River man was being held on $350,000 bail after a pair of robberies in his neighborhood Sunday morning, police said.
Dennis Taylor Jr., 30, of the 2100 block of Sunnythorn Road, was charged with two counts of armed robbery and first-degree assault, using a firearm to commit a felony, illegal possession of a firearm, theft less than $100 and attempted theft of less than $100, court records show.
At 7:30 am, the suspect took a wallet from a man in his home on Kingston Park Lane, police said.

Then the same suspect tried to take a woman’s purse at gunpoint in the 2200 block of Southorn Road, according to a report from the Baltimore County Police Department. When the woman began yelling, he left the area, police said.
Officers determined the suspect was in his residence on Sunnythorn Road, where he was taken into custody without incident, police said. His home was approximately 300 feet from the location of the first robbery and within a mile of the second robbery.

Tactical officers had surrounded his home, where he was arrested after 1 p.m., according to The Baltimore Sun, which reported other residents in the home evacuated unharmed.
Taylor was being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on $350,000 bail, according to police.
