• Baltimore County announces October reopening of Dundalk and Randallstown pools (nottinghammd.com) — Dundalk's county-owned indoor pool will host a free open house on Oct. 10 before officially reopening for swimming on Oct. 14, with discounted memberships and daily admission. A single pass will cover both Dundalk and Randallstown pools, and the pilot program will test schedules and classes through at least the end of 2026 based on resident feedback.
   

• SKY 11 captures BPD motorcycle chase, driver arrest (98online.com) — A police helicopter and TV news chopper tracked a stolen motorcycle Friday as it sped through Baltimore City and County before the rider was finally caught in a Dundalk field. Baltimore County police say Dundalk precinct officers first received the theft report, and an aviation unit helped coordinate the arrest later made in the city.
   

• Your Voice, Your Stories: Copper thefts, Maryland soldiers, and Valor (wmar2news.com) — More than 300 Maryland Army National Guard soldiers from the Dundalk area are preparing to deploy to East Africa, leaving local families facing months apart. The same statewide roundup also highlights new penalties for copper thefts and a comfort dog supporting Howard County firefighters, but Dundalk residents will be most interested in how this deployment touches neighbors and friends.
