Homeowner Surprised Annapolis Couple in His House: Police
Anne Arundel County Police say a couple were seen inside an Arnold house when the resident returned home. They face burglary charges.

An Annapolis couple faces theft charges after an Arnold resident reportedly surprised them as they pilfered items in his house, police say.
Police were called Monday morning to the unit block of Sheridan Road in Arnold for a burglary in progress. The homeowner returned home and discovered a man and a woman inside his house. He told police the suspects were attempting to flee the scene in a Ford Edge.

Anne Arundel County Police officers stopped the vehicle and the homeowner identified the occupants as the people he saw inside his home.
Police say the suspects caused damage in the residence and had in their possession of several items that were taken from the victim’s house, including a garage door opener and barbecue set.

Both suspects were taken into custody and charged with first-, third- and fourth-degree burglary, destruction of property and theft less than $1,000.
The suspects are Shelley Nichole Martino, 38, and Gregory Adam Fernandez, 36, both of 628 Sean Drive in Annapolis.
