Lacrosse Player Not Guilty in Concert Assault
Benjamin Chisolm of Davidsonville, a University of Maryland student, faced charges at a concert at Jiffy Lube Live Amphitheater in June.

University of Maryland lacrosse player Benjamin Chisolm, 19, of Davidsonville has been found not guilty of sexually assaulting a woman at a June Zac Brown Band concert in Bristow, VA.
But, Chisolm was convicted of drunk in public and will face a year’s probation and 50 hours of community service, according to Fox 5.
Prince William County Police say a 49-year-old woman fell asleep on the lawn at a Jiffy Lube Live concert venue, WJLA reports. The woman woke up to a man lying beside her and touching her inappropriately; he then walked away.

On social media people had speculated that the woman somehow deserved the unwanted attention because she was intoxicated. But, the victim called Fox DC to “set the record straight,” saying she lay down because of a medical problem.
“This guy comes running up and slides up right behind me like he was spooning me, and he was grinding his bottom half against my bottom half, and he took his arm and put it around me and grabbed my breast,” the woman told Fox DC. “No, I wasn’t raped. No, my clothes weren’t taken off. But, I feel weird because somebody else touched me that I did not know. That I didn’t give permission.”
