Police Search for Escaped Suspect Devonte Trusty

Anne Arundel County Police say the handcuffed man fled from officers as he was being arrested overnight.

A man in handcuffs escaped Tuesday morning from Anne Arundel County Police officers, who are warning that anyone who helps him will also be charged.

Devonte Dominic Trusty, 21, is described as a black man, 6’0, 170 pounds. Trusty’s last known addresses are 4109 Pascal Ave. in Curtis Bay and 7832 Huff Court in Pasadena, police say.

According to the Capital-Gazette, officers stopped a vehicle that Trusty was riding in near New Freetown Road in Pasadena. Police who searched Trusty allegedly found him in possession of drugs.

As officers were arresting Trusty, he reportedly ran away with his hands handcuffed behind his back, the newspaper reports. Trusty was not found during a search of the area, and police think he went into a nearby house.
