Francis Winfield Smith, 61, returned safely to his Lothian home.

UPDATE: Police said Friday evening that Francis Winfield Smith returned  to his home in Lothian in good condition. No details on his location were released.

Anne Arundel County Police are asking for help locating a Lothian man reported missing since Wednesday.

Francis Winfield Smith left his Lothian home to go fishing on Wednesday, according to police. He was last seen walking on Bayard Road in Lothian around 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Police described Smith as a 61-year-old African-American man with black hair and brown eyes. He is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds.

Anyone who may have seen Smith is asked to notify police immediately. Police said anyone with information should contact Detective Sergeant John Poole at 410-222-3446.
