Seahawks, Bulldogs in Action Over Spring Break

Students at Southern and South River High may be enjoying a snowy spring break, but spring sports are not taking any time off.

Track and field will be participating in a meet during the break. Furthermore, the baseball and softball teams will be in action along with boys and girls lacrosse.

Here’s a rundown of the South River and Southern High school athletic schedule for March 27-30.

Softball:

Both South River and Southern High School will play in the Varsity Softball's South River Invite on Wednesday. South River will play at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Southern will play at 10 a.m. and noon.

Track and Field:

Both South River and Southern High School will compete at Chesapeake High School on Wednesday beginning at 10 a.m.

Baseball:

South River will play in the Seahawk - Cougar Invitation on Thursday at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Southern will play at Severna Park High School on Saturday, but the time has not been set yet.

Girls Lacrosse 

The South River girls lacrosse team will play in the NDP tournament on Saturday, but the time has not been set yet.

The Southern girls lacrosse team will play in the Play With Heart Tournament on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. at Southern High School.

Boys Lacrosse

Southern's varsity boys lacrosse team will hose Bel Air High School on Thursday at 6 p.m.

South River boys varsity lacrosse team will play in the Greg Carroll Invitational at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
