Weather Alert from Anne Arundel County Public Schools
The school system sent out message as snow moves into the area.

As snowfall moves into the area, Anne Arundel County Public Schools has canceled all Wednesday after-school activities and.
The cancelation includes evening middle school and high school classes, all magnet program offerings, as well as the Board of Education meeting that was scheduled for Wednesday evening.
For the status of activities sponsored by agencies other than Anne Arundel County Public Schools, including after-school day care, parents should check with that agency.

In addition, the cancellation of evening high school classes means the Monday, Wednesday final exams are canceled and will not be rescheduled.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the area until 6 p.m. Wednesday. The forecast says:

Moderate to heavy snow will affect portions of extreme northeastern Maryland and the eastern Washington, D.C., suburbs early Wednesday afternoon. Several bands of heavy snow have developed west of these areas and is now moving into the Interstate 95 corridor of north of the District.
Visibilities with the heavier snow bands will be reduced to around a quarter of a mile at times. Temperatures will hover just below freezing, allowing for accumulation on most surfaces.
Snowfall is expected to linger into the early afternoon hours, dissipating toward the mid- to late afternoon.
