Enchanting Weekend at the Miller Branch Library

Pizza and herbs are just a taste of what the Enchanted Garden at the Miller Branch Library has to offer.

The opened Dec. 17; most of it, at least.

A , but a Saturday in May seemed to work perfectly.

Local children -- and adults -- visited the garden to see what the outdoor classroom had to offer.

About 65 native plant species and herbs will eventually spring up around the garden, which will be used to teach students, young and old, about nutrition, gardening, composting and, of course, pizza.

The pizza garden will give people a chance to grow fresh ingredients for homemade pizza.

Several toads around the garden were also given names by local children.
