Howard High and Long Reach High Collect Change for Grassroots
Students raise funds to support crisis services, such as suicide prevention.

The chilly weather didn’t deter Howard High School students (from l.) Hope Arnold, Talia Rennert-Ariev and Brenna Deblasio from collecting change from attendees at the football game between Howard and Long Reach High Schools. Students raised $1,356 in change for Grassroots, Howard County’s 24-hour crisis intervention center and shelter for the homeless. The students are hosting Change Matters campaigns across the county to raise funds to support crisis services, such as suicide prevention, provided by Grassroots.
