Life as a Wrestler-in-Training Never Slows Down

Just checking in with how the summer is going! Some updates include: a magazine article, an episode of my Diva-Dirt documentary, a twitter reminder, and my random need to eventually go back blonde.

Hey all, sorry it's been so long since my last update but I really haven't had the time to sit down and get something together. I had to take an online summer course over the past few weeks and on top of my regular schedule of working, wrestling and pushing it at the gym, I just couldn't put something together. Thankfully the class is over but it took up a lot of my time.

Now with summer in full swing, I'm really enjoying myself and taking the opportunity to work out as much as possible, both in and out of the wrestling ring. I get up and usually get to a nearby Gold's Gym that has a spin class on that particular day of the week, and then I'll go back later in the day and do some more cardio and lifting, or, that day I'll go to training at Gillberg's instead.

The last MCW Rage TV tapings went great. Always a lot of fun! Everyone in MCW is so motivated, positive and talented and it's really great to have such a group together. We definitely stand out on the indy's that's for sure! The tapings we just taped in June are actually already being posted, I won't be in any new ones until next week for episode 14, but you can check out all the MCW Rage TV episodes here.

I'll be honest, these past few weeks training wise have been pretty crumby on my end. I've really been down, feeling slow, lethargic and having little to no self confidence in the ring. In order to be successful, or do well in the ring period you need to have that self confidence. Unfortunately lately, it hasn't been that way. Thankfully, today at practice, I gained some confidence with my ability to lead in different match situations so I'm proud of that. Wrestling is one step at a time, I've only been training for a year and really looking at it, that's nothing in what it takes to become a good worker. It's hard to keep reminding myself of that sometimes though!

Last week was almost my birthday, I turned the big 20! Had some people over for a swim party and then went to Kings Dominion the next day. Along with this past weekend, which was just amazing, followed up by a inspiring practice I'm really to push it these upcoming weeks. Why? Well...

The Shane Shamrock Memorial Cup 11 is at the end of this month. It's like MCW's Wrestlemania. I'm definitely going to be involved in some shape or form and I really want to give that extra boost. I want to drop at least 5-10lbs (it's a constant battle), get a little tan in (something I've never had), and get a new "BAM" outfit that goes with my character.

On a random note I miss being a blonde. I love the black hair for my bitchy character, but any other time it's just not me. Hoping I can find a happy medium eventually.

In OTHER news, I was interviewed for an online wrestling women's magazine called "Respect" The link to the magazine is here.

Also my second episode with my documentary: Jessie Kaye: Road To The Ring was posted last week! Check it out here.

Really excited for me and David to do more tapings so we can have even more episodes posted! Woohoo!

July is definitely going to be an awesome month! July 10th is Gillberg's 1 Year Anniversary Party! I can believe the doors have been open for an entire year. I'll try to post a blog up about that, and just nostalgia in general if I have the opportunity.

I'm headed to WXW in PA with my bud Art on July 17th to meet a fellow women's wrestler in training, Robecca. I'm really looking forward to meeting her and checking out WXW in general.

In addition I'm headed to Ocean City July 20-24th that should be an adventure, considering the Rage TV tapings are the 22nd. That means that day I'm going to have to travel from OC, to the tapings and then back to OC to spend it with my friends.

It'll be an adventure I'm sure. Then on July 29th it's my girl Courtney's birthday! That should be a fun time! Then of course it's Shamrock on the 30th! So yes, my calendar is filled for July and I love it!

So everyone, a lot going on and like I said, loving every second of it! Remember, if you want to get a hold of me, just follow me on Twitter: JessieKayeRTTR

Until next time!
