Nothing Like Getting Your Finger Broken From a Spinebuster
A review of my experience at the Shane Shamrock Memorial Cup 11 and the training aftermath!
Hi everybody!
Again I apologize with my lack of consistency with writing posts. I hope everyone's summer is going great. Although I wish I could be more spot on with my working out and my wrestling, this summer has been a productive one.
The first thing I would like to address is that took place this past Saturday. I've been working closely with MCW in promoting it before and after the show took place and I'm so proud of how it turned out. Everyone put their hearts and souls out there this past Saturday, even if people weren't on the show. What people don't realize is all the work it takes to put a show like this together.

The ring doesn't magically set itself up. People were there beginning at 1 p.m. lugging that thing from the crate in the back...and believe me, it's heavy. Some bars have even been labeled heavy as "*insert word here*" bars. Plus the ring has layers, including steel beams, huge sheets of plywood, plus the actual ring ropes, a little bit of padding, the canvas, it's a lot...plus of course the things outside of the ring like the barricades, the chairs, the lighting equipment, the entranceway and that's just the visual part of it all. What about the actual matches?
What made this show so spectacular was that every match had a reason for people to care. With Rage TV being posted weekly, stories festered and in turn everyone was emotionally invested. That's what makes MCW in general so great. So many indy promotions, don't have continued storytelling and we're making it happen.

I never knew Brian "Shane Shamrock" Howser, but this night that has turned into a huge night of professional wrestling, happens in his name. Sami Callihan, an awesome and amazing talent took the Cup home this year. But we had people from nine states come and participate this year, including Josh Daniels (simply awesome), Rickey Reyes, Aden Chambers and others. Chambers left with a broken femur or hip and I know Daniels has a torn bicep. That's how much this Cup and show means, everyone put it out on the line.
So this show meant a lot for everyone, and it was my first one I participated in personally. My first indy show I ever went to was The Shane Shamrock Memorial Cup in 2008 (I think) when Josh Daniels won for the first time. To actually be in this one, meant so much and still does.
This year, I helped my man Ronnie Zukko defeat the Samoan CHUMP, . Afterward, Cole Callaway showed up, took down Ronnie and Candie jumped me from behind.
So now, it's after the Cup. You would think things would slow down, but no. Now everyone at the wrestling school is pumped, driven and ready to go. We just want to get better.
With my bank account lowering day by day with expenses, I have to work more often so training is limited. I was able to go to training last night thankfully and we went HAR-HAR-HAR-HAR-ha-HARD (Rip off of Ke$ha) We focused on big moves that have sent my body into rebelling today....including a spinebuster that has left my finger looking like this:
We're moving on to big and better things and some great opportunities are on the horizon.
I will write before the next show but here are some important dates to remember for MCW:
August 27th-The New Green Room, Dundalk MD- Aggravated Assault
September 9th-FREE SHOW Della Roses's at White Marsh-Rally In The Alley (Ravens Kickoff)
Hope everyone continues to have a great summer!
