Frederick County Sheriff's Office Announces Arrest in 23-Year-Old Cold Case Murder (radiofreehubcity.com) — A Frederick man has been arrested in a long-unsolved 2003 killing, after Frederick County investigators uncovered new evidence in the death of 20-year-old Joshua Crawford. Authorities say the case remains active and are asking anyone with additional information to contact the Sheriff's Office or tip line as they continue building the case.
   

2. 87-Year-Old Frederick Man Facing Murder Charges (wfmd.com) — Frederick residents are being told there's no ongoing threat after police arrested an 87-year-old Frederick man on first- and second-degree murder charges in the death of his roommate on Franklin Street. Officers found the 63-year-old victim during a welfare check after a witness reported the suspect claimed to have shot him. The suspect was taken into custody and held at the county detention center.
   

3. Wehiwa Aloy and Joseph Dzierwa Named Orioles Minor League Player and Pitcher of the Year (mlb.com) — Frederick baseball fans can celebrate as three Frederick Keys figures earn major Orioles minor league awards after a record 83-win season and playoff run. Shortstop Wehiwa Aloy and pitcher Joseph Dzierwa were named the Orioles' top minor league player and pitcher, while manager Collin Woody received a prestigious development award. The 2027 Keys season opens at home on April 2.
   

4. Maryland man arrested for fatal Poolesville hit-and-run (fox5dc.com) — A Frederick man has been arrested after police say a tip linked him to a hit-and-run that killed a pedestrian in Poolesville. Investigators traced damage on a white Chevrolet Silverado found at a Frederick business to the crash, and the driver now faces charges while Montgomery County police continue their detailed reconstruction of what happened.
   

5. Curious Iguana Presents: Local Romance Author Andie Burke (fredericknewspost.com) — Book lovers in Frederick can meet local romance author Andie Burke at a free event at Frederick Book Arts Center on South Carroll Street, featuring a discussion of her new novel and a signing. The evening includes a conversation with author Chip Pons and plant sales from downtown shop Take Root. Adults 18 and older are welcome, with accessibility requests encouraged in advance.
