2 Injured In Gaithersburg Shooting: Police
Two people were hospitalized after a shooting early Tuesday in the 400 block of North Summit Avenue in Gaithersburg, officials said.

GAITHERSBURG, MD — Two people were hospitalized after a shooting early Tuesday in the 400 block of North Summit Avenue in Gaithersburg, officials said.
Gaithersburg Police said shots were fired about 6:28 a.m. Officers from both the Gaithersburg Police and the Montgomery County Police Department - 6th District responded to the area.
Officers found two adults suffering from apparent gunshot wounds and provided first-aid to both victims until Fire and Rescue personnel arrived. The victims were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, a police news release said.

Authorities have not released the names of the victims or said what led up to the shootings.
