Final Election Results 2015: Ashman Wins Mayor's Race
Gaithersburg voters also re-elected two City Council members and picked one newcomer.

Unofficial results from the November 3 election show that Jud Ashman has been re-elected mayor and Ryan Spiegel and Neil Harris have been re-elected to the Gaithersburg City Council, along with newcomer Robert Wu, city officials said.

The results are expected to be certified by the Gaithersburg Board of Supervisors of Elections on Wednesday, and the officials will be sworn in at a special meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 9, at City Hall. The mayor will serve a two-year term and each of the council members will serve a four-year term.
The city says 3,683 voters cast ballots out of 33,409 registered voters, or 11.02 percent. Voter turnout in the uncontested 2013 City of Gaithersburg election for Mayor and two City Council members was 5.4 percent. Of the total ballots cast, 426 participated in the early voting sessions; 102 were absentee.

Ashman received 2,380 votes (64.62%), Henry F. Marraffa Jr. received 1,003 votes (27.23%), and Darline D.H. Bell-Zuccarelli received 251 votes (6.82%).
The candidates with the highest number of votes for City Council were Ryan Spiegel with 2,567 (69.70%), Robert Wu with 2,498 votes (67.83%), and Neil Harris with 2,374 votes (64.46%). Candidate Laurie-Anne Sayles finished in fourth place with 2,094 votes (56.86%). These results are unofficial until certified by the Board of Supervisors of Elections on Wednesday.
