Exchange-Traded Funds, or ETFs, are funds that track an index and trade just like stocks on major stock exchanges. There are ETFs for large and small US companies, real estate investment trusts, international stocks, bonds and even gold. ETFs differ from traditional mutual funds in that they trade instantaneously all day long and allow an investor to lock into a price for the fund immediately. Our speaker, Anthony Salvi with Vanguard will look at how to determine if ETFs are right for you and how they can help create new opportunities for your investment portfolio.
ETFs will fluctuate with changes in market conditions and are subject to brokerage fees and trading spreads. ETFs do not necessarily trade at the net asset values of their underlying holdings, meaning an ETF could potentially trade above or below the value of the underlying portfolio.
An investor should consider the investment objectives, risks, charges and expenses of the investment company carefully before investing. The prospectus contains this and other information about the investment company and can be obtained by contacting your financial professional. Please read the prospectus carefully before investing.
