With temperatures in the upper 90s this weekend, some lucky dogs got to cool off with a lick of frosty people food—ice cream.
The Treat Truck has been on the road since early June, touring dog parks along the east coast from Boston to Philadelphia before arriving in Maryland.
The staff is giving away free ice cream and cookies for dogs, and offering fun activities, like a personalized photo ID "treat truck doggy driver's license."

This weekend the truck stopped at the Best Friends store in the Festival Shopping Center, and at the Bickerstaff dog park.
Best Friends, which provides boarding, daycamp and grooming, created the truck to give the community a taste of the fun and caring its staff provides to pet guests every day at its 42 pet care centers across the US. Best Friends has locations in Gaithersburg and Rockville, MD. Check out the full schedule here.
