Missing Gaithersburg Man Released From Hospital 9 Days Ago: Police

GAITHERSBURG, MD — Police are searching for a Gaithersburg man who has been missing since he was released from Holy Cross Hospital in Germantown nine days ago.

Michael Wayne Umberger, 57, did not return home after he was released from the hospital at 7 a.m. July 15, police said. Police are concerned for Umberger's welfare.

Police describe Umberger as a white man, 5'7" and approximately 160 pounds. He has black hair, dark eyes and was last seen with a full beard, police said.

Anyone with information regarding Umberger's whereabouts is asked to call 911.
