Plane Crash in Gaithersburg, MD!

This morning in Gaitherburg, M.D, A plane crashed into a home, damaging the community and killing three people along with some passengers that were on board.

WUSA reported that the house the plane crashed into was located on the 19700 block of Drop Forge Land near Snouff School Road. The house was left with heavy structural damage and fire damage. Several residents of the home are still unaccounted for.

NBC Washington reported that witnesses of the incident said firefighters had extinguished the blaze when it seemed to flare again; its now out, but steam continues to rise from the scene.

An FAA spokesperson for the airline clarified that the plane was getting ready to land at the Montgomery Airpark., approaching Runway 14. The Montgomery County Air Park is about ½ to ¾ of a mile from the crash.

According to WUSA, “The FAA registry shows that the plane was a corporate Phenom jet with tail number N100EQ. It’s registered to Sage Aviation LLC out of Chapel Hill, NC which makes replacement parts for the aviation industry.” Montgomery County fire spokesperson Pete Piringer was not sure if the pilot of the plane was among those who died.
