GERMANTOWN, MD — A Germantown man accused of arguing with acquaintances, then stabbing them and stealing a neighbor's car to get away is being held without bond on multiple charges, including attempted murder, according to Montgomery County Police.

Detectives on Monday charged Da’Von Mobley, 26, of the 18900 block of Grotto Lane in Germantown, with attempted murder after he allegedly stabbed a couple in Germantown and then stole a car as he fled from the scene of the stabbings.

The victims told police that Mobley had been in the residence earlier, but had been asked by them to leave. About 15 minutes after Mobley left the residence, he reportedly forced his way into the house through the front door and stabbed both of the victims, then fled from the home.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services took the two victims to an area hospital. The man had life-threatening injuries and the woman had serious injuries, police said.

While officers were investigating the stabbing, they were approached by a nearby resident who reported that her white 2007 Dodge Caliber, which had been parked in the 17700 block of Kilmarnock Way, was missing.

Officers saw the Caliber driving on Kilmarnock Way and attempted to the stop the vehicle, but the driver, later identified as Mobley, refused to stop. Police chased the car to the 17700 block of Cricket Hill Drive, where the Caliber went off the road into a tree line, and stopped. Mobley then ran from the vehicle.

After police surrounded the area, Montgomery County Police canines and a Maryland State Police helicopter were used to find Mobley in the 13700 block of Charity Court.

He was taken to the Central Processing Unit, where he was charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder, home invasion, first-degree burglary, reckless endangerment, and theft of a motor vehicle. Mobley is currently being held without bond.
