GLEN BURNIE, MD --An 18-year-old Glen Burnie resident has been arrested and charged with second-degree burglary with the intent to steal a firearm and possession of a firearm by a minor. The charges are in reference to a June 13 gun shop burglary in Rockville, court records show.

Demico Henderson, Jr., 18, of Glen Burnie, was 17 at the time of the crime but is being charged as an adult. The gun shop burglary unfolded June 13 at approximately 2:30 p.m. According to the Anne Arundel County Police Department, five suspects used a stolen car to ram into United Gun

While fleeing the scene, the suspects rammed a second stolen getaway car at a police cruiser. An officer responding to the call fired multiple shots at the car as it exited onto Randolph Road, killing 17-year-old Marquis Weems, of Anne Arundel County. The officer who discharged his weapon was John Gloss, a 20-year veteran assigned to the Patrol Services Bureau. Weems had been arrested previously for having a loaded gun at Annapolis High School while a student there.
