Glen Burnie Walgreens Robber Arrested: Police

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A Glen Burnie man has been arrested for allegedly robbing the Walgreens pharmacy at 7901 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie. On July 17, Akee Jykra Cain, 21, of the 7800 block of American Circle in Glen Burnie, shoved was way post employees who opened a security door, grabbed money, and ran out of the store, police say.

Employees initially believed that two women acted as lookouts before and during the robbery, but Anne Arundel County Police investigators since determined that they were not involved. Police searched the area but were unable to locate the robber. There were no injuries reported.

On Thursday, detectives said they had identified Cain as the robber and took him into custody.
