HdG Woman Charged with Attempted Murder in Travelodge Stabbing: Police
Police said an argument with Bel Air woman preceded stabbing at Aberdeen motel.

A Havre de Grace woman has been charged with attempted murder, among other offenses, in connection with a stabbing Wednesday night at the Aberdeen Travelodge, according to police.
Natasha Vargas, 23, of the 700 block of Pulaski Highway, was arguing with another woman at the motel when things got violent , the Aberdeen Police Department reported.
At 10:47 p.m., police responded to the motel in the 800 block of West Bel Air Avenue for a stabbing, according to the report.

A 39-year-old Bel Air woman had been stabbed in the abdomen, according to police.
Aberdeen Fire Department paramedics stabilized the victim and took her to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where she was listed in stable condition Thursday morning, police said.

Aberdeen police said they were able to develop a description of the suspect and her vehicle based on witness interviews, and in short order, Havre de Grace police conducted a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Pulaski Highway and took the suspect into custody.
Vargas has been charged with attempted murder as well as first and second-degree assault, police said.
