Tydings Park Now More Accessible To Those With Disabilities
A ribbon-cutting was held to usher in the new addition at Tydings Park.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — A special addition to Tydings Park opened this week. A ramp that will make the waterfront park more accessible to all, particularly those with disabilities, is now open.
The accessibility ramp connects the City Yacht Basin parking lot to Tydings Park.
Work on the ramp started in October and was guided by the recommendation of the Tydings Memorial Park Commission, which identified ways to improve the park and ensure its maximum potential was realized.

In its final report, the commission said that a ramp would serve as a connection among the various waterfront features in the area, including the Promenade, yacht basin and park.
Other updates that have already been completed at Tydings Park are the all-access playground as well as an expanded sidewalk for safety and more parking on Commerce Street.
