• Groundhog tests positive for rabies in Jarrettsville; Harford County residents urged to take precautions (wmar2news.com) — A groundhog found on the 3800 block of Old Federal Hill Road in Jarrettsville has tested positive for rabies, and health officials are urging anyone whose pets or family may have had contact to call the Harford County Health Department. Residents are also reminded to keep pets leashed and vaccinated, secure trash, avoid feeding wildlife, and report strangely behaving animals to Animal Control.
