• Lineup For Movies On The Potomac Released (patch.com) — Free outdoor Movies on the Potomac return to National Harbor starting next weekend, with Thursday date-night films and Sunday family favorites running May 3 through Sept. 27 on the waterfront Plaza Screen. Organizers are tying several screenings to America’s 250th birthday and adding themed pre-movie activities like hockey drills and rocket demos. Weather-related changes will be posted on National Harbor’s Facebook and Instagram.

• The US Navy Is Rethinking the Design of Its Ford-Class Carriers (nationalinterest.org) — National Harbor hosted the Navy League’s Sea-Air-Space symposium where the Navy signaled it may rethink the design and costs of future Ford-class aircraft carriers. Leaders discussed possible changes to electromagnetic catapults and other systems as they weigh budget pressures, performance concerns, and how these massive ships fit into the fleet’s long-term strategy.
