Expect a $1.50-per-hour increase in paid parking and doubled parking fines as the town manages heavy traffic and cracks down on reckless driving and pop-up car shows.
   

• Highway worker from Delmar killed in Princess Anne fatal crash (delmarvanow.com) — A highway worker from Delmar was killed Tuesday when a vehicle rear-ended his marked MDOT car during a Route 13 maintenance project in Princess Anne, just a short drive from Ocean City. While state police investigate the crash, the story also notes Ocean City’s growing focus on beach safety and events, including the Maryland International Kite Expo on the resort’s shoreline.
