• UPDATE: Rt. 50 eastbound closed following serious crash in West Ocean City (wboc.com) — A serious four-vehicle crash in West Ocean City temporarily shut down eastbound U.S. Rt. 50 near Old Bridge Road on Tuesday, with two people flown out for treatment. The Ocean City Fire Department and state police from Maryland and Delaware responded, and all lanes had reopened by late afternoon while the investigation continues. 
• Plane makes emergency landing on Ocean City beach (wtop.com) — A small Cessna that took off from Ocean City Municipal Airport made an emergency landing on the beach near 94th Street after experiencing engine trouble, but no one was hurt. The husband-and-wife occupants declined medical treatment, beachgoers were unharmed, and federal investigators are now reviewing what caused the mechanical problems over Ocean City.
