Man Dies After Shooting in Reisterstown, Police Say

There is a reward for information about Sunday night shooting in Reisterstown that left an 18-year-old deceased, according to police.

REISTERSTOWN, MD — A man who was shot in Reisterstown while sitting in his car over the weekend has died, police said Monday night. Authorities believe the victim was targeted.

Sardor Fayziev, 18, of the unit block of Gloucester Court, was shot in the upper body while in the driver's seat of his car, according to officials.

Two suspects drove up to the vehicle, opened the car doors and assaulted a back seat passenger, police said. In the midst of the assault, which occurred at 8:31 p.m. Sunday in the 200 block of Caraway Road, officials reported a shot was fired that hit Fayziev in the upper body.

After the shooting, the two suspects got into a car that was driven by a third suspect, according to police. The vehicle drove off.

Fayziev was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in critical condition Sunday night, and by Monday evening he had been pronounced deceased, the Baltimore County Police Department reported.

Police said there is no danger to the public, although the suspect remains at large.
